Creativity Coaching

catherine jo morganI am happy to use my training and experience in both art and psychology, to help you develop your creative potential. The more creative power in the world, the better!

Catherine Jo Morgan, M.A.

CREATIVITY COACHING

gives you a way to stay in touch with your creative energy and direction. I help you find your own personal way in your chosen creative work - from the inside. No external standards or rules or expectations are imposed on you.

This gives you a chance to discover your own way - most likely a way the world has never experienced before. By doing your creative work this way, you actually become more fully yourself - and more fully alive. This is a gift not just to yourself but to the world.

I've worked with writers, photographers, dancers, composers, craft artists and painters. The same ideas and methods apply to any field. It's all about keeping the creative spirit nourished and energized - and freeing it to go in its own unique direction.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You tell me what's going on for you  in your creative life. What's happening? Anything not happening that you want to happen? I listen to you deeply, with complete acceptance. Only by really being with you, right where you are, can I help you develop along your own genuine path.

I have a great repertoire of "things to do" - my bag of tricks. When appropriate, I pull one out and offer it to you as a way to find out more about what to do and how to do it. You're always free to say yes or no. If one thing doesn't work, another will.

Often nothing is needed from my bag of tricks. Having someone focus only on your creative life, and what it needs for nourishment, can be an amazing experience in itself. Care and love and respect from someone else can enable you to care and love and respect your own creative life the rest of the week.

OPTIONS: PRACTICAL MATTERS

We can meet at my studio or office here in northeast Georgia, about 80 miles northeast of Atlanta. Weekly one hour sessions are available. If you need to come for an intensive - two or three sessions a day for several days - there are comfortable cabins, bed & breakfasts, and motels nearby.

Phone, Windows Messenger, and email sessions are also available. Phone and Messenger sessions are scheduled by appointment, while you can email me any time and receive a reply within 24 hours.

CONFIDENTIALITY

I've had professional training as a consultant and facilitator of personal growth. One of the first things I learned was that everything about a client must be kept confidential. I never reveal client names, nor anything about them. You can write and talk to me with complete security that I will tell no one even a tiny part of what you say.

FEES: $15 per half hour

Each half hour of creativity coaching costs $15, whether here in person or by phone, Messenger, or email. So you can go ahead and buy the number of half-hours you'd like at this time. You can use the shopping cart below, or just email me so I'll send you a PayPal invoice.

Usually one half-hour session is about right for an email, phone, or Messenger session. Phone or Messenger sessions can run longer, to a full hour. And sessions in person - and my studio or yours - are normally a full hour.

If I come to your studio, which can offer some special advantages, then I charge some travel time and expense as well.

I'll keep track of the time you've used, and send you another PayPal invoice when you need to refill your payment.

Please feel free to email me with any concerns or questions.

You can prepay for creativity coaching by changing the quantity here to the number of half hour segments you'd like to pay for at one time.

ABOUT CATHERINE JO MORGAN:

I draw, paint and make vessel sculptures in my studio in the woods of northeast Georgia, in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. I live in a rustic cabin I built with my partner in 1982. After an earlier career as a psychologist, I became a fulltime artist-blacksmith in 1985. Since 1990, I've specialized in iron and mixed media vessel sculptures. My drawings and paintings are usually studies for these sculptures. I draw my inspiration from walks in the woods, especially hikes into wilderness areas.

My work is in private collections across the United States. I've participated in invitational shows, including a show of iron bowls at Georgia Southern University in 1996. I've also taught blacksmithing and metal sculpture. In 1990 I was a featured demonstrator at the national blacksmithing conference in Alfred, New York. My bowls are also featured in Dona Meilach's book, Contemporary Ironwork.

I wish you health, joy, and creative power.
