Energy Transformer - Mixed Media Bowl

"Energy Transformer" by CJ Morgan

How to acquire this sculpture

Everything in "Energy Transformer" seems to gather energy. The energy seems to flow into the quartz crystal sphere in the center. Then the  energy flows out through the open V at the back, up the iron and out.

The vessel form is held in place by the crystal sphere and gravity. So you can lift it out and hold it in your lap when you like. This makes it what I call a "prayer bowl" or "meditation bowl."

The iron is grounded at the base, yet sends energy out at the top. Iron is wonderful in this way. It's the one material I know that has both earth energy and sky energy. It comes from deep in the ground, but also from the sky in meteor showers. Of course, it flows in our blood too.

The edges are a little rough and unfinished. This doesn't interfere with the sense of energy flow. That's reassuring. My life has its rough edges too.

bead detail "Energy Transformer" by CJ MorganThis was the first sculpture in the new "Energy Transformer" series. I didn't think to varnish the copper before adding the paper. So the copper in this piece will gradually darken with age. I chose the coloring to keep the bowl radiant even when the copper darkens. Later if you want to brighten the copper again, you can polish it lightly with a jewelry polishing cloth.
